December 2018 Events at Atlantic Cape

Atlantic Cape Community College is hosting the following events during the month of December:
Dec. 4, 5-6:30 p.m.:  Free Financial Aid Workshop, 5-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Room 132 of the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus. Registration is required, and students may register and obtain more information by calling 609-343-4822 or by sending an email to dhernand@atlantic.edu.

Dec. 5, 5:30-7: p.m.: Health Career Planning Session, 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Room C3 of the Mays Landing Campus. This session will review regional training and career options, explore employment and educational opportunities, and provide information about entry-level positions through advanced technical training and degree programs. Dec. 5, 6-9 p.m.: Academy of Culinary Arts Holiday Cookies Workshop, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Kitchen 1 (M-Building) of the Mays Landing Campus. For more information or to register, call 609-343-5655.

The Mays Landing Campus is located at 5100 Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing; the Cape May County Campus is located at 341 Court House-South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House; and the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus is located at 1535 Bacharach Blvd. in Atlantic City. The Academy of Culinary Arts is located at the college’s Mays Landing Campus.


 

Upcoming Events at Atlantic Cape Community College

Atlantic Cape Community College is hosting the following events during the month of May:

May 1, 12:30-1:30 p.m.: The 7th Annual Writers’ Colloquium will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, in the Art Gallery (D building) of the Mays Landing Campus. Students receiving Communication Awards in creative writing and journalism, as well as select students in Honors Composition II and Honors Public Speaking, will be reading and discussing their work.  For more information, contact Professor Rich Russell at rrussell@atlantic.edu or 609-343-4971.

Upcoming Events at Atlantic Cape Community College

Atlantic Cape Community College is hosting the following events during the month of April:

April 5, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Atlantic Cape will host its annual Career Fair 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, in the new Student Center (Building G) of the Mays Landing Campus. Come and meet employers from South Jersey and surrounding areas as they look for employees for seasonal, part-time and full-time employment. April 8, 1-3 p.m.: A fall registration open house will be held 1-3 p.m., April 8, to provide information for those looking to earn their degree, begin a new career or enhance job skills, in the new Student Center (Building G) of the Mays Landing Campus. The Academy of Culinary Arts will also host an open house during these hours for anyone interested in learning about the culinary and baking programs offered by the ACA. Atlantic Cape Community College is hosting the following events during the month of February:

Feb. 6, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.: African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey, Inc. presents “A Time for Change: Civil Rights in New Jersey,” hosted by Student Activities in honor of Black History Month, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., in the Student Center lobby of the Mays Landing Campus.

Feb. 6, 12:30 p.m.: Artist lecture with Treacy Ziegler on her exhibit “Inside Out,” featured at Atlantic Cape’s art gallery, at 12:30 p.m. in the art gallery located in D Building of the Mays Landing Campus. The exhibit showcases her works as well as works by four prisoners from her prison workshops. Continue reading
