Registration for Summer and Fall Sessions is Underway at Atlantic Cape

Early registration for summer and fall sessions at Atlantic Cape Community College began March 5 to help students plan and take advantage of the delayed payment option.

Normal registration hours are weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The first summer session is six weeks, May 21-June 28; the second session is eight weeks, June 25 – Aug. 18; and the third session is six-weeks, July 9 – Aug. 16. A full session meets May 21 – Aug. 16, and an accelerated session runs May 21 – June 7. Fall semester classes begin Sept. 4.

Financial aid is available to eligible students. Students may also be eligible to receive a Pell Grant for their summer or fall classes. Visit www.atlantic.edu/finaid to learn how to apply. Continue reading

Academy of Culinary Arts Announces Spring Open House Dates

The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College will host several open houses this spring for prospective students who love to cook and are interested in starting a career in the culinary field.

The open houses are planned for 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 21; 1-3 p.m. at the college-wide open house, Sunday, April 8; and 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, M Building.

The academy offers two-year degree programs in culinary arts, baking and pastry, and food service management, and specialization programs in hot foods, baking and pastry, food service management and catering. Continue reading

Late-start Classes Begin Feb. 5 at Atlantic Cape Community College

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer “late-start” classes beginning Feb. 5 for students who want to add a class to their schedule or anyone interested in continuing their education.

Classes include: CISM125-Introduction to Computers, ENGL101-Composition I, ENGL102-Composition II, ENGL080-Reading/Writing II, PSY135-Child Psychology, COMM110-Interpersonal Communication, MATH073-Introduction to Algebra I-Pre Algebra, MATH074-Introduction to Algebra II, ALHT110-Comprehensive Medical Terminology, THEA110-Introduction to Theater and RELG110-World Religions. Time is running out to register for the spring semester at Atlantic Cape Community College. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 16. Seats are still available in astronomy, aviation, business, communication, culinary, criminal justice, hospitality, math and many other courses during the spring semester.

Due to recent weather-related closures, the college is offering extended registration hours at its Mays Landing Campus from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. through Thursday, Jan. 11. Normal registration hours will resume on Friday, Jan. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., which is the last day to register in person. Last Chance to Register for Classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts

Time is running out to register for spring classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College, ranked by Best Choice Schools as the No. 1 culinary school in New Jersey. Spring classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 16.

New this year, the first ten new full-time students who have paid in full for the spring semester at the academy will receive a free knife kit from Follett Book Store, valued at $250. Registration for Winter, Spring Classes Continues

Atlantic Cape Community College offices will close for the holiday break at the close of business Friday, Dec. 22, and will reopen Tuesday, Jan 2.

During the break, students can register for winter and spring classes by mail, fax at 609-343-4914, and online at www.atlantic.edu/webadvisor.

Affordable Online Semesters Run for Just Eight Weeks Beginning Jan. 16, March 19 at Atlantic Cape Community College

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer online semesters beginning Jan. 16 for students who want to add a class to their schedule or anyone interested in continuing their education with the convenience of not having to leave home. A second eight-week online session is offered March 19.

Classes include: Introduction to Business, Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, Introduction to Computers, Ethics in Criminal Justice, Macroeconomics, Composition I, Statistical Methods, Composition II, U.S. History II, Principles of Sociology, Child Psychology, Western World II, Introduction to Literature and Statistical Methods.
