Atlantic Cape Community College conferred the seventh annual President’s Distinguished Alumni Award to Gloryvie Reyes, a senior probation officer, and Terri Schieder, a health care executive, at the 49th annual commencement, May 19.
Reyes of Sicklerville graduated from Atlantic Cape in 2001 with associate degrees in psychology and general studies. She continued her education at Rowan University, receiving a bachelor’s in psychology. Reyes now works as a senior bilingual probation officer in adult supervision–sex offender unit at Gloucester Country Probation Department. She is a leader for the Latina-Hispanic Network, the Professional Latinas Alliance and the Hispanic Alliance of Atlantic County. Continue reading

Rita Michalenko, associate professor of art, will have an art exhibit, “Off The Beaten Path,” on display Nov. 1 through Jan. 31, 2015 at Latz’s By The Bay, 801 Bay Avenue in Somers Point.
An opening reception is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9, 3-5 p.m.; light refreshments will be served and is open to the public.
