Sock Drive Provides Comfort for our Neighbors

Vita Stovall helped with distribution and coordination of the college-wide sock drive at the end of the year.

During this past holiday season the Worthington Campus sponsored a sock drive for the homeless. Collection boxes were distributed to all three campus locations. Thanks to the most gracious staff and students, the Atlantic Cape community donated approximately 280 socks to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission on Dec. 19. A special thank you to Cynthia Correa, director, WACC Student Services and Institutional Career Services, for that amazing idea: socks are the most needed item among the homeless, yet the least donated. Thanks again, your compassion enriched so many lives in more ways than you’ll ever know.

 

Here’s the Scoop–Dec. 1, 2017

The Worthington Atlantic City Campus is hosting a sock drive for the homeless through Dec. 15.

Socks are the most needed item among the homeless, yet the least donated.

All donations received will be sent to the Rescue Mission in Atlantic City on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Even one pair of new socks makes a huge difference!
