Atlantic Cape Will Offer Social Media Workshops for Businesses and Nonprofits

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer four separate workshops focused on using social media effectively in business or the nonprofit sector. Each workshop will meet 6-9 p.m. on an upcoming Tuesday or Thursday at the Mays Landing Campus, located at 5100 Black Horse Pike. The following workshops will be offered:

Social Media for Professional Business (Nov. 2) focuses on using social media to engage customers and market your business and on discovering which social media tools potential customers favor.

Social Media: Using Twitter and Instagram (Nov. 14) is geared toward beginners and provides information and guidance on cultivating followers, creating an editorial calendar, defining the theme of your Twitter or Instagram, and balancing fun, interactive elements like pictures and videos. Atlantic Cape Offers New, Free ‘Virtual Assistant: Social Media Marketing’ Program; Information Session Being Held Aug. 23

Atlantic Cape Community College’s Workforce Development Division is offering a new 380-hour training program, “Virtual Assistant: Social Media Marketing,” for free to those who have been unemployed or underemployed for at least six months and qualify under the Ready to Work New Jersey guidelines, beginning Sept. 11.

The training program will teach participants the marketing fundamentals and skills necessary to be a successful social media marketing professional. The social media marketing module of the program prepares participants with the skills to understand marketing fundamentals, align content types to specific marketing goals, use keywords to connect to an audience, boost social media through influencers and effectively use hashtags. The virtual assistant focus of the program provides instruction on the key elements needed to prepare and market one’s self to work remotely for employers and clients. Continue reading

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer a variety of professional development and personal enrichment social media workshops with instructor Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt, president of Suasion Communications Group, this fall.
