Here’s the Scoop–Dec. 18, 2015

Maryann Flemming-McCall, Richard Russell and Stephanie Natale-Boianelli presented on Atlantic Cape’s Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) at the NJ Developmental Education Summit, Dec. 11, at Middlesex County College.  The event was hosted by the New Jersey Council of County College’s Center for Student Success.  The well-attended session was lively with questions from attendees interested in Atlantic Cape’s program.


A note from Susan DeCicco, continuing education:

“I would like to thank all my Continuing Education colleagues for the beautiful fruit arrangement and their kind thoughts and caring words. Here’s the Scoop – Nov. 25, 2015

ESL faculty gathered at the Worthington Atlantic City Campus to engage in a workshop on assessment practices related to course completion. The discussion among those in attendance was stimulating and fruitful.


Andre Richburg, dean, enrollment management and college relations, presented at the 71st annual NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) Conference in San Diego this month. Dean Richburg, along with three other community college representatives from Virginia, Iowa and Illinois, presented on best practices at community colleges for student success. Dean Richburg specifically spoke to Atlantic Cape’s “speed up, catch up” model as well as other new Student Success Initiatives. Continue reading

Dr. Peter L. Mora, president, was appointed by New Jersey State Senator Jeff Van Drew and and Assemblyman Bob Andrzejczak to a new economic development task force that will come up with recommendations to improve one of the most economically depressed areas in New Jersey.

Dr. Mitchell A. Levy, vice president of student affairs and branch campus management, was selected to serve as a program reviewer for the 2015 NASPA National Conference. Continue reading
