Gala 50/50 Raffle Tickets Are Still Available for Purchase; Chance to Win up to $15,000 in Prizes

Raffle_Social.jpgThree lucky winners will share up to $15,000 in the 2018 Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala 50/50 Raffle. The raffle is sponsored by the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation and will provide emergency funds for students with unforeseen financial needs.

Only 300 tickets will be sold at $100 each and are available now just in time for holiday gift giving. Three cash prizes will be awarded, including: $9,000, first prize; $4,500, second prize; and $1,500, third prize. Dollar amounts are based on all 300 tickets being sold. The winning tickets will be drawn at the March 28 Restaurant Gala at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City. Winners do not need to be present to win. Continue reading

Tickets are now on sale for South Jersey’s premier food and beverage fundraising event. The 35th annual Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala will take place on Wednesday, March 28, in the Avalon Ballroom of Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City.

Kevin Ortzman, regional president for Caesars Entertainment (Bally’s, Caesars and Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City) will be honored at the Restaurant Gala as the Community Honoree. The 2018 Culinary Honoree is Georgeann Leaming of Brigantine, executive chef of Gordon Ramsay Pub & Kitchen located in Caesars Atlantic City Hotel and Casino and 1999 Academy of Culinary Arts graduate. Two Academy of Culinary Arts Students Receive Scholarships from the Somers Point Restaurant Association

The Somers Point Restaurant Association awarded two $500 scholarships to Academy of Culinary Arts students, Ony Randrasana of Somers Point and Briana Husak of Vineland, for their academic achievements and participating in this year’s Somers Point “Sip & Savor” Restaurant Week Kick-Off event that was held on Sunday, Oct. 29.  Continue reading

Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Awards Four Scholarships to Culinary and Hospitality Students at Academy of Culinary Arts Food & Wine Festival Nov. 17

The Academy of Culinary Arts Food & Wine Festival held Friday, Nov. 17, welcomed nearly 120 attendants to the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College’s Mays Landing Campus where they dined on authentic French country food and desserts prepared and served by ACA students, as well as sampled international wines.

The event took place in the working kitchens of the academy offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how our area’s top culinary and hospitality students prepare for such a unique event. In the past, it was known as a Beaujolais Nouveau tasting open only to Chaîne members and their guests, but last November the event was reimagined as the Academy of Culinary Arts Food & Wine Festival. Bacharach Institute of Rehabilitation Gives Money To Support Nursing Scholarships at Atlantic Cape Community College

The Bacharach Institute of Rehabilitation donated $25,000 from the Pauline Hollander Scholarship Foundation toward nursing scholarships at Atlantic Cape Community College, Monday, Oct. 9. Through the donation, ten $2,500 scholarships were awarded to the top ten second-year students enrolled in the nursing program at the college.

A & R Mack Charitable Foundation Donates $10,000 Toward Atlantic Cape Scholarships

The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation received a $10,000 gift from A&R Mack Charitable Foundation on behalf of Anthony and Rita Mack of Galloway, Oct. 30, to aid in scholarships for Atlantic Cape students.

In December 2012, A&R Mack Charitable Foundation established an endowed scholarship as part of the Create Opportunity Campaign, which increased college-based financial assistance. Continue reading
