Maria Ivette Torres, a trustee at Atlantic Cape Community College since 2003, recently joined the New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) Executive Committee as one of the Trustees-at-Large members.
In addition to her new membership on NJCCC’s Executive Committee, Torres is vice chairperson of the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, the state authority that oversees all state-sponsored higher education financial aid. Her community involvement includes service as first vice president of the Hispanic Alliance of Atlantic County and chairperson of its Education Committee.
