This summer, Atlantic Cape Community College received two prestigious grants that will turn it into a resource and lead institution for drone technology in the tri-state area. Few community colleges are awarded such accolades.
In July 2018, Atlantic Cape was awarded a grant of $224,761 from the National Science Foundation for the college’s “Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations and Maintenance Education and Training Project.” This grant’s term is from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021 and will provide funding for advance technician training in the rapidly evolving field of small commercial unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), commonly referred to as “drones.” Continue reading
The Nonprofit Resource Center, an initiative of the Cape May County Campus Library, invites faculty, adjuncts and college staff to free grant seeking training from 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 23, in the Cape May County Campus library.
Via an interactive workshop, attendants will learn how to use the Funding Information Network databases to identify potential grant funders for priority projects at the college. An orientation to grant seeking at Atlantic Cape will also be provided.

Staff members planning to attend should please have their participation approved by supervisors as necessary.
The Grants Office, which is part of the Resource Development Department, works with faculty and staff to submit grant proposals seeking funding for a diverse range of priority Atlantic Cape projects.
