Restaurant Gala Ticket Discount Available for Faculty, Staff

Faculty and staff can purchase discounted tickets, maximum of two tickets for $150 each (a discount of $75) through Friday, March 9. Limited number of tickets available.

Bacharach Institute of Rehabilitation Gives Money To Support Nursing Scholarships at Atlantic Cape Community College

The Bacharach Institute of Rehabilitation donated $25,000 from the Pauline Hollander Scholarship Foundation toward nursing scholarships at Atlantic Cape Community College, Monday, Oct. 9. Through the donation, ten $2,500 scholarships were awarded to the top ten second-year students enrolled in the nursing program at the college.

A & R Mack Charitable Foundation Donates $10,000 Toward Atlantic Cape Scholarships

The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation received a $10,000 gift from A&R Mack Charitable Foundation on behalf of Anthony and Rita Mack of Galloway, Oct. 30, to aid in scholarships for Atlantic Cape students.

In December 2012, A&R Mack Charitable Foundation established an endowed scholarship as part of the Create Opportunity Campaign, which increased college-based financial assistance. Continue reading

Atlantic Cape Hosts ‘5K Race for Opportunity’ on Sept. 9 at Cape May County Campus to Raise Money for Scholarships

Oct. 13 Golf Tournament to Benefit Atlantic Cape Students

GolfThe 2017 Atlantic Cape Community College Scramble “Fore” Scholarships golf tournament is planned for Friday, Oct. 13, at the Cape May National Golf Club in Cape May. Partnering with the Atlantic Cape Foundation, CMNGC will host the tournament to support student scholarships and Foundation operations.

The tournament will follow a scramble format, beginning with a shotgun-start at 11:30 a.m. Player fees, which include a complimentary gift, lunch and awards dinner, are $150 per person and $500 per foursome. Golfers can participate in a variety of skills challenges, including closest-to-the-pin and longest drive contests. Individuals and businesses can also support the event through sponsorship opportunities ranging from $125 to $5,000. Continue reading

Atlantic Cape Community College Students Receive Over $200,000 in Scholarships

Atlantic Cape Community College awarded ­­­221 scholarships totaling $207,903 at its 50th Annual Scholarship Recognition Ceremony on May 16. This is a part of a commitment of $425,771 that the Atlantic Cape Foundation has pledged for incoming and returning students this year.

The event included scholarship recipient and donor presentations, a donor reception, giveaways and light refreshments. Atlantic Cape Honors Six Recipients With President’s Distinguished Alumni Awards

Atlantic Cape Community College will confer the eighth annual President’s Distinguished Alumni Award to six recipients, at the 50th annual commencement, May 18. The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation honored past and present recipients of this award at Careme’s Restaurant at the Academy of Culinary Arts on May 4.

Established in 2010, The President’s Distinguished Alumni Award has been presented annually to graduates of Atlantic Cape that have differentiated themselves through professional, public or community-based accomplishments. The 2017 honorees and the eight past honorees truly represent Atlantic Cape’s mission and serve as exemplary role models for our current and future students. Continue reading

Third Annual Atlantic Cape Alumni Bash Scheduled for June 11

Atlantic Cape Community College alumni, family and friends are invited to the third annual Atlantic Cape Community College Alumni Bash on Sunday, June 11, at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood. Check-in will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Rendezvous Beach Picnic Pavilion located at Mariner’s Landing Pier.

For $25, attendants enjoy admission to all three amusement parks and Raging Waters Waterpark, as well as an all-you-can-eat lunch, provided by the Atlantic Cape Alumni Association.

Berenato, adjunct professor with the English department, is pleased to announce the release of his fourth book, A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY: EXPLORING STAR WARS COMICS. Co-edited by sci-fi scribe Rich Handley, featuring a foreword by comic book legend John Ostrander, and essays by industry professionals, A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY takes a critical look at the various incarnations of Star Wars comics over the last 40 years. The Atlantic Cape Choir took their show on the road, Friday, Dec. 9, traveling to the Vineland Veterans Home to perform their showcase as a part of the group’s community outreach initiative. Afterward, they stayed to support some local Girl Scouts who were also volunteering that evening and invited them to join the choir for an impromptu sing along to “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” for the residents before leaving for the evening. They were invited by the VFW Post 9462 Ladies Auxiliary.

Hot off the heels of a Friday night performance, The Atlantic Cape Choir kept their show on the road. They performed a 45-minute show at the Hamilton Mall as a part of the mall’s “Sounds of the Season” series. Having visited Cumberland and Atlantic counties within the past few days, they will finish their performance season in Cape May County with a performance at the Ocean City Senior Center.

Due to the Holiday break, all paychecks dated Dec. 23 will be mailed Thursday, Dec. 22, to the address  on file with Human Resources. If you have moved, please notify Gorgianne Giordano in Human Resources atggiordan@atlantic.edu or stop by the Human Resources Department (upstairs in J Building) to update your address so your check will be delivered to the correct address. Direct deposit will see no change in the Dec. 23 pay.
