Atlantic Cape Community College is hosting the following events during the month of September:
Sept. 4: Fall semester begins at Atlantic Cape.
Sept. 4: Careme’s Restaurant, located at the Academy of Culinary Arts at the Mays Landing Campus, opens for lunch service for fall semester.
Sept. 5-26, 6-9 p.m.: The Academy of Culinary Arts offers Buttercream Bootcamp, a four-week workshop that runs 6-9 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Sept. 5, in Kitchen 1 of the Academy of Culinary Arts. Cost is $279. For more information or to register, call 609-343-5655.
Sept. 15, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: The Academy of Culinary Arts offers a Basic Knife Skills workshop from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, in Kitchen 1 of the Academy of Culinary Arts. Learn the techniques used by professionals as well as how to hold a knife correctly and master basic cuts. Cost is $49. For more information or to register, call 609-343-5655.
Sept. 19, 6-9 p.m.: Puff Pastry Desserts, offered by the Academy of Culinary Arts, will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Kitchen 1 of the ACA. Attendants will learn how to make traditional Paris Breast, Napoleons, and Apple and Cherry Turnovers. Cost is $75. For more information or to register, call 609-343-5655.
Sept. 24: Late-start classes begin at Atlantic Cape Community College. Register online at www.atlantic.edu/fall or in person, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at any of the college’s three campuses.
Sept. 27, 6-8 p.m.: An opening reception for the “Atlantic County Parks” art exhibit will be held from 6-8 p.m., Sept. 27, at the gallery located in D Building of the Mays Landing Campus. The exhibit will run through Oct. 27.
The Mays Landing Campus is located at 5100 Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing; the Cape May County Campus is located at 341 Court House-South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House; and the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus is located at 1535 Bacharach Blvd. in Atlantic City. The Academy of Culinary Arts is located at the college’s Mays Landing Campus.
