Here’s the Scoop–Dec. 1, 2017

The Worthington Atlantic City Campus is hosting a sock drive for the homeless through Dec. 15.

Socks are the most needed item among the homeless, yet the least donated.

All donations received will be sent to the Rescue Mission in Atlantic City on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Even one pair of new socks makes a huge difference!

Donation boxes are located in the theater lobby of the Mays Landing Campus; first-floor lobby of the Cape May County Campus; and the first-floor lobby (near elevator) of the Atlantic City Campus.

A message from Donna Marie McElroy, Circle K Club Adviser:

Thanks to everyone who supported Circle K’s Bake Sale Nov. 28!  We raised $125 to be donated to Adelaide’s Place, Atlantic City.  Here is some information about them from their Facebook page:  “Adelaide’s place is for homeless women who have nowhere to go during the day. They are provided with a secure environment where they meet with social workers from other agencies to work on temporary and permanent housing placements and schedule health appointments. Our ladies participate in a variety of programs which include, but are not limited to arts and crafts, and life skills enhancement.”
Save the date of our next Bake Sale:  Tuesday, Dec. 12.
