Come to a lunchtime screening of a single TED talk each month, sponsored by the Spangler Libraries, that lasts no more than 20 minutes. The talks are designed to create a sense of community, to diversify thoughts and ideas on campus, and to provide a safe, open forum for discussion.
What will humans look like in 100 years?” TED Talk by Juan Enriquez will air 12:30-1 p.m., Tuesday, April 4, in D202 of the Mays Landing Campus, Room 204 of the Atlantic City Campus and Room 115 of the Cape May County Campus.
All are welcome.
“We can evolve bacteria, plants and animals — futurist Juan Enriquez asks: Is it ethical to evolve the human body? In a visionary talk that ranges from medieval prosthetics to present day neuroengineering and genetics, Enriquez sorts out the ethics associated with evolving humans and imagines the ways we’ll have to transform our own bodies if we hope to explore and live in places other than Earth.”
