The Academy of Culinary Arts “Savory Saturdays” cooking demonstration highlights chocolate, Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.
Academy of Culinary Arts Chef Educator Ruth Latorre of Atlantic City along with culinary students will explore the origins and manufacturing techniques of the exotic ingredient. Audience members will sample different types of chocolate and sip the dark chocolate elixir that Aztec King Montezuma called “food of the gods.”
The ACA will present the demos from 1-3 p.m. in the first floor main court. Demonstrations are scheduled for Saturdays, March 18 and April 15. On March 18, “Savory Saturdays” will explore how to create Pate au Choux cream puffs and Churros.
