The safety of our students, faculty, staff and the public while on our campuses is Atlantic Cape Community College’s top priority.
The college continually reviews its public safety strategies, and in 2015 made provisions to add armed security on our campuses to enhance the college’s active shooter response.
Additional security initiatives at Atlantic Cape include:
- Close relationships with law enforcement agencies in Hamilton Township, Atlantic City and Middle Township
- 24/7 security at all three campuses
- Ongoing active shooter training (http://www.atlantic.edu/about/violent-criminal-act.html)
- Security escorts
- Text alert emergency notifications
- Regular lockdown drills
Additional information about these initiatives, and active shooter training materials from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, is available on the Public Safety portion of the website, http://www.atlantic.edu/about/security.htm.
At all times, the college encourages our community to be aware of their surroundings and diligent in reporting any concerns or suspicious activities both on our campuses and on social media sites. Please contact Security or 9-1-1 for any emergency.
