WACC Celebrates Cultural Diversity with Hawaiian Luau

Faculty, staff and students celebrated cultural heritage and Atlantic Cape’s 50th anniversary Nov. 16, at a Hawaiian Luau themed celebration in the Worthington Atlantic City Campus café.

Attendees learned how to hula from professional Polynesian dancers wearing grass skirts and leis.

According to Vita Stovall, in Student Services, a Hawaiian theme was chosen because Hawaii, as the nation’s 50th state, reflects the college’s 50th  anniversary.
