Breast Cancer & Alcohol Awareness Activity

Steve Mathis of Maui Wowi serving pink smoothies
Worthington Atlantic City Campus students, staff and faculty enjoyed pink smoothies on Oct. 25 in an effort to reflect on Breast Cancer and Alcohol Awareness. Steve Mathis, from Maui Wowi Hawaiian, served up Strawberry Banana, Strawberry Colada and Strawberry Lemonade smoothies. Student Services provided an information table with give-a-ways: pink ribbons, pink buttons, pink and black paddles and information regarding drinking and driving. Many students, staff and faculty wore pink to show support to cancer survivors and for those that succumbed to breast cancer.

Wearing pink to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Pumpkin Carving
The Cross Cultural Student Association held a pumpkin carving event at the Atlantic City Campus on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Participants come from diverse countries such as the Dominican Republic, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Colombia and Peru, and many of them had never carved a pumpkin before. The event finished with putting battery lights in the pumpkins, turning off the lights and inviting passersby, who had a minute, to come in and marvel at the artwork. The artists took home their pumpkins to show their family and friends.
