ALP Summer Institute Highlights Best Practices for Educators

The Accelerated Learning Program Summer Institute was held Wednesday, Aug. 3, in Room M-129 of Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus.

The program highlighted the college’s successful practices of the ALP Program for educators of other learning institutions, and Atlantic Cape faculty, as well.

Speakers included Dr. Otto Hernandez, vice president of academic affairs; Denise Coulter, interim dean of liberal studies; Stephanie Natale-Boianelli, ALP coordinator and ALP professor; Effie Russell, ALP professor; Regina Van Epps, ALP professor; Maryann Flemming-McCall, ALP professor; Richard Russell, English department coordinator and ALP professor; and Bridget Temme-Soifer, institutional research.

The program also featured an ALP student alumni panel, Melanie Duhmel, Reece Petetti, Jessica Mondragon and Kathryn Sagusti, who addressed questions from educators on what worked best in the classroom for their learning experiences.
