Carole Dianne Dieterly, Atlantic Cape ’08 graduate, received her doctorate in veterinary studies from St. George’s University in June 2016. After attending Atlantic Cape, Carole went on to continue her studies at Stockton University. While there she took her GRE, and accepted St. George’s University’s offer of attendance to veterinary school. Carole has decided specialize in Cat Only Medicine and has accepted a position with the Allentown Cat Clinic in Allentown, Pa. She will begin working in August.

Capt. Jerome Ingram Jr, left, with his grandfather, Melvin Fowlkes.

Capt. Jerome Ingram Jr, son of Lynette Ingram, counseling, and 2004 Atlantic Cape graduate, was named Commander of his National Guard Unit (154th QM Company and 820 Detachment, Fort Dix) July 8. During his Change of Command Ceremony speech, he mentioned that his grandfather, Melvin Fowlkes, 86, served in the U.S. Army in 1947 in what was then a segregated unit.  He also remarked that his grandfather was his inspiration to join the services. Nearly 70 years later, Fowlkes was able to witness his grandson’s promotion.
