Relieving Stress During Finals Week
Worthington Atlantic City Campus students, staff and faculty were treated to massages, soft pretzels and healthy snacks to help them relieve stress during finals week. Stress is a prevalent component in today’s fast-paced world that can negatively impact an individual’s health and well-being. Massage therapy has been shown to be a means by which stress can be reduced significantly on physical and psychological levels.
Rob and Liz from “Massage on the Go USA” set up their massage chairs in the lobby on May 10 and gave five-minute massages to over 30 participants. The following are comments from their experiences: “Amazing, my back feels wonderful!,” “Very good, I feel like a new man!,” “Thank you for making the students feel special,” “It was great to have this experience during the final exams week” and “I feel much better, it took away my stress, thanks so much!”
Additionally, Student Government Association attended and brought healthy snacks and bottled water.
