Atlantic Cape Community College will host a Health Career Planning Session this spring to provide potential students with valuable tips about careers in allied health. The session is free and open to the public, and will be held 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Cafeteria B.
The session is designed for those thinking about pursuing a health career, as well as those considering changing careers, returning to school or those currently enrolled in prerequisite courses for an allied health degree.
The session will detail the educational requirements, clarify the training needed to enter or advance in health professions, review roles and responsibilities within various job titles and explore training options and alternate career routes. Shorter technical training certificates and entry-level positions will be reviewed as career advancement opportunities. This session will also focus on associate degree programs in nursing and radiologic technology, as well as certificate training programs offered through the college’s continuing education department.
