Greetings from the Cape May County Campus–Feb. 26, 2016

By Lisa Apel-Gendron

More than 60 students, employees and members of the community, including members of the local AAUW chapter, gathered in the CMCC dining room Feb. 25 for a lecture on human trafficking. Sponsored by SGA and CMCC Student Services, the lecture featured Detective Paul Vanaman of the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force.

Thank you to SGA for their support of this important event, as well as to April Wolff, ITS; and Rob Townsend and Curtis Fitzpatrick, facilities, for their efforts in setting up the dining room and providing that all-important tech support.

CISM senior adjunct Suzanne Haggerty and her students attended the lecture on diversity in the STEM disciplines Feb. 23 at CMCC. Thanks to Suzanne’s suggestion, the lecture was videoconferenced to the branch campuses. Eleven people, including Lenora Sheppard, math, attended via ITV at CMCC.
