Volunteers, Proposals Needed for College Awareness Day

Atlantic Cape’s annual College Awareness Day is fast approaching and will be held on Friday, April 29, at the Mays Landing Campus, hosted by the Admissions Department.

College Awareness Day is a campus-wide event that aims to recruit minority students by exposing them to the collegiate environment. This program was founded with the goal to help under-represented high school students with their college selection. Although this event targets minority students, all students are welcome.

The participation of Atlantic Cape faculty, staff and administrators has allowed this program to be successful in the past years. To keep the tradition of excellence, we need your help!

Proposals for potential workshops to be offered at College Awareness Day are needed on a variety of topics. This is a great opportunity to promote academic careers, career specialization, continuing education training, social topics/issues, college survival and more to high school students from Atlantic and Cape May counties.

The workshops will be offered twice. Session A: 10–10:50 a.m. / Session B: 11–11:50 a.m.

If you have a topic you would like to submit as a proposal, send it to depps@atlantic.edu by Friday, March 11.

If you have any questions, contact Danielle Epps, assistant director of Admissions, ext. 5608 or depps@atlantic.edu.

We look forward to your support and participation with this event!
