Artwork by Leonard Wilkinson Featured at Atlantic Cape’s Art Gallery Feb. 12-March 26

Atlantic Cape Community College’s Art Gallery will feature artist Leonard Wilkinson’s exhibit, “Works by Leonard,” Feb. 12-March 26, at the gallery, located inside the William Spangler Library, D-Building, of Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike. There will be a reception from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Wilkinson, an Egg Harbor Township resident, works in many different mediums including pen and ink, pastel, acrylics and watercolor. He has painted several murals in Brigantine, and completed a restoration of the Kentucky Avenue Jazz Mural in Atlantic City. In association with the Minority Affairs Board of Atlantic Cape Community College in 2003, he was commissioned to paint one of the lighthouses in the college’s Beacons by the Sea project, which is on permanent display in the theater of the college.

The gallery hosts monthly exhibits of a wide variety of works including drawings, paintings, printmaking, computer arts, ceramics, sculpture, photography, mixed media, 2-D design and crafts. Showcased artists will be students, faculty and local artisans.

Gallery hours are 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday; and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
