Variety of Culinary Workshops Offered at Academy of Culinary Arts

Are you interested in livening up your pasta dishes or using alternative grains such as quinoa in your cooking? Learn about these techniques, as well as others, at the culinary workshops offered at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College this spring.

Pasta Exploration explores tasty alternatives by examining different types of pasta and how they work best, 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9. Cost is $65.

Learn how to prepare seafood dishes that go beyond standard shrimp, flounder and salmon during Unique Seafood, 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25. Cost is $75.

Alternative Grains focuses on incorporating tasty and healthy alternative starches such as quinoa, barley, Israeli couscous and farro, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, March 9. Cost is $65.

During Spring Fruits and Vegetables, participants learn different ways to prepare produce and highlight their natural flavors, 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 9. Cost is $55.

All workshops will be held in Kitchen 1 of the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape, 5100 Black Horse in Pike, Mays Landing.
