Greetings from the Cape May County Campus–Dec. 4, 2015

By Lisa Apel-Gendron

It’s drive time at CMCC, but we’re not talking about cars! Once again, CMCCers are putting the “happy” in the holiday season by sponsoring a number of drives to help those in need.

Toys for Tots - Bears - 2012

Holiday season drives to assist the community are a CMCC tradition, dating back to the 1990’s when the campus was located in Rio Grande.

Denise O’Connor, student services, has once again coordinated the annual Toys for Tots drive, which dates back to our days in Rio Grande. We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls of all ages through Dec. 18. Donation boxes are located on all three floors. Questions? Call Denise at ext. 3976.

Regina Van Epps, English, has organized a coat drive for refugees fleeing Syria. We are grateful for new or gently used coats, jackets and other warm clothing through Dec. 18. A drop box is located on the first floor. We can accept donations via interoffice mail; just bag them and send to Regina’s attention at CMCC.

The nursing club is collecting gently used clothing for people of all ages. The collection box is located on the first floor, and this drive runs through Dec. 11.

Have a worry-free weekend!
