Advance Tickets on Sale for the March 24 Restaurant Gala; Will and Jack Morey Announced as Honorees

Jack Morey, Will MoreyA first-time, “advance ticket” special is available for purchase until Dec. 31, for those interested in attending South Jersey’s premier food and beverage event, the 33rd Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala. Individual tickets are available for $200 each, a $25 savings; and tables of 12 are $2,400, a $300 savings. The 33rd annual Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala takes place Thursday, March 24, in the Avalon Ballroom of Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center, a new venue for the gala.

Will Morey and his brother, Jack, of Morey’s Piers, a family-owned entertainment, amusement, hotel and dining enterprise in Wildwood and a South Jersey landmark, have accepted the recognition of being honorees at this year’s Gala. The brothers are longtime residents of Cape May County, and have made great investments into the Wildwoods, running the boardwalk’s three amusement piers and water parks, and owning a half-dozen hotels and various buildings that house restaurants and entertainment venues.

The Gala showcases food by serving thousands of hors d’oeuvres prepared by students from the Academy of Culinary Arts and featuring the culinary specialties of 40 of the region’s best restaurants at a progressive dining experience.

This year’s theme is “Mission Possible,” a play on the famous “Mission Impossible,” with a focus on making scholarships possible for Academy of Culinary Arts students through Gala proceeds.

The event has raised $3 million since 1984, with proceeds benefiting student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College and Atlantic Cape Foundation operations.
