A note from Dr. Joy Jones, assistant professor of communication:

The First Annual Public Speaking Scholarship Competition will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Mays Landing Campus. Applications are due by Nov. 10. Instructors are asked to recommend to students and have students contact Dr. Joy Jones at jjones@atlantic.edu or Professor Keith Forrest at kforrest@atlantic.edu for an application. There is a scholarship available for first-, second- and third-place finishers in this competition.

A panel of four religious leaders – Bishop John Gandy, Father John O’Leary, Hazzan Jeffrey Myers and Imam Jawad Rasul – discussed the role of faith in contemporary society.
