Archery to Host ‘I Shoot for the Girls’ Tournament Dec. 5 & 6

Atlantic Cape Community College’s nationally ranked archery team will host “I Shoot for the Girls,” a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The tournament is Dec. 5-6, in Atlantic Cape’s Jonathan Pitney Hall, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing. The college is one of many sites participating in this national fundraiser.

The tournament is open to recurve and compound shooters. Participants will compete in Adult, Young Adult (15-17), Youth (12-14) and Club (11 & Under) categories. Archers will shoot at special “Pink Ribbon” faces.

The archery team is preparing for the outdoor championships this month.

The community is invited to participate in a fundraising tournament Dec. 5-6.

The entire $20 entry fee will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. For more information or to register, visit or email coach Chad Affrunti at Walk-ins will be accepted, however, space is limited and priority will be given to preregistered archers.

Atlantic Cape’s team is led by long-time archers Affrunti of Atco and John Repnicki of Galloway. Atlantic Cape’s archery team has a history of success, producing more than 40 All-America archers and hosting the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships three times.
