Atlantic Cape Community College’s nationally ranked archery team will host “I Shoot for the Girls,” a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The tournament is Dec. 5-6, in Atlantic Cape’s Jonathan Pitney Hall, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing. The college is one of many sites participating in this national fundraiser.
The tournament is open to recurve and compound shooters. Participants will compete in Adult, Young Adult (15-17), Youth (12-14) and Club (11 & Under) categories. Archers will shoot at special “Pink Ribbon” faces.
The entire $20 entry fee will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. For more information or to register, visit www.atlanticcapearchery.club or email coach Chad Affrunti at firstname.lastname@example.org. Walk-ins will be accepted, however, space is limited and priority will be given to preregistered archers.
Atlantic Cape’s team is led by long-time archers Affrunti of Atco and John Repnicki of Galloway. Atlantic Cape’s archery team has a history of success, producing more than 40 All-America archers and hosting the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships three times.
