ESL faculty gathered at the Worthington Atlantic City Campus to engage in a workshop on assessment practices related to course completion. The discussion among those in attendance was stimulating and fruitful.


Andre Richburg, dean, enrollment management and college relations, presented at the 71st annual NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) Conference in San Diego this month. Dean Richburg, along with three other community college representatives from Virginia, Iowa and Illinois, presented on best practices at community colleges for student success. Dean Richburg specifically spoke to Atlantic Cape’s “speed up, catch up” model as well as other new Student Success Initiatives.


Judith Otterburn-Martinez, assistant professor of ESL,  and husband, Carlos Martinez, welcomed Henry Carlos into the the family on Sept. 29.  Mom and baby are doing great!


Patrick Sweeney, ITS, and family shared the following note of thanks: “No words could ever express our appreciation for the love and support you have shown to us after the passing of Chris. Debbie and I are deeply grateful.  We struggle every day, but having family, friends and co-workers has lessened the pain. On behalf of my family, I thank you.”
