Greetings from the Cape May County Campus — Sept. 18, 2015

Tammy DeFranco, director of CMCC student services & campus management, coordinated and presented an Open Mic tribute in memory of 9/11. Students listened to instructor Helen McCaffrey, Circle K club members, and instructor John Alvarez who offered words of kindness, to show compassion for others, and to take the time to help everyone here at our college and in the community. A big thank you to Nancy Porfido, director of student development and judicial officer, for providing a very touching and heartfelt video of Ground Zero, to SGA for their support in this program, and to Rebecca Ackley and Denton Scheibal for their art display.

Tammy DeFranco, student services, said,”What better way for students to
start this semester than to supply them with the tools of success?” All
students were welcomed with notebooks, pens and candy to help them be successful in their classes. Senior English Adjunct Instructor Fran Rauscher reached for a stack of notebooks and distributed them to a group of his students that did not have a pen or paper. Good things…a big thank you to SGA for all of their support.

Students from Rebecca Ackley’s Student Success Seminar class were engaged and involved as Wendy Gray, student services, showed them the steps in a  “Getting Connected”  workshop. Great job!
