Casino Career Institute Offers New Gaming, Surveillance Training Beginning in September

The Casino Career Institute at Atlantic Cape Community College has prepared more than 50,000 people for rewarding careers in gaming and continues to offer top-notch training for those who wish to enter the casino profession.

If you are interested in a fast entry to a career in table games, CCI is offering a new Multi Game Dealer with Technology course. The training combines Blackjack and Craps to prepare you for a position in the gaming industry and includes an introduction to computers to enhance your employability.

The course teaches the fundamentals of Blackjack and Craps and emphasizes game knowledge, chip value and card handling. Special attention will be given to game and accounting procedures, accuracy and speed. The course includes your practice kit and professional uniform for auditions.

The class runs 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Thursday, Sept. 21-Dec. 10.

Classes also begin regularly in a variety of table games, including: Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Poker and Tournament Play, Pai Gow Tiles, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker and Carnival Games.

Additionally CCI is now offering Certified Surveillance Professional training, which prepares you on all aspects of gaming that lend themselves to cheating and illegal procedures. The program includes instruction in table games, loss prevention and surveillance methodology. At the conclusion of training, you will be ready to apply for positions in surveillance departments at gaming properties anywhere in the world. The course meets 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Thursday, Sept. 14-Dec. 17.
