Student Nurses Volunteer with County Office of Emergency Preparedness

Deborah Seaman, senior nursing lab manager, oversaw 14 students who volunteered for the Atlantic County Office of Emergency Preparedness on the Medical Needs Shelter Team this semester. The students were recognized earlier this month by Medical Needs Branch Director Kristin Logue, an Atlantic Cape graduate.

The students attended monthly meetings of the Medical Needs Shelter Team, inventoried equipment and supplies, and participated in trainings conducted by the Office of Emergency Preparedness.

The students participated in a large-scale county exercise at the Anthony “Tony” Canale Training Center in Egg Harbor Township May 30.

The student nurse volunteers include: Rachel Baten, Molly Cusack, Nathan Ein, Brittney Nicholson, Patricia Foglia, Alesandro Pehar, Stephanie Stahl, Holly Unger, Jacqulyn Smith, Krista Creamer, Rosalinde J. Hill, Brittney Britco, Meghan Dawson and Desmon Devery.
