Atlantic Cape Community College’s public relations and marketing efforts captured four awards in national and regional contests for its work related to the 2014 Atlantic Cape Restaurant Gala.
The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) awarded a Silver Paragon in the Notes/Cards/Invitations category to Atlantic Cape at the national conference of community college marketing and public relations professionals in Portland, Oregon, March 24.
In addition, the Public Relations Society of America—Philadelphia Chapter awarded Atlantic Cape with a Ladle for Development & Fundraising and the college received two Medallion Awards at the NCMPR District I Conference in National Harbor, Maryland in the fall. The awards include: Gold for Notes/Cards/Invitations and Bronze for Communications Success Story.
College Relations staff members who supported these Restaurant Gala efforts include: Michael Bruckler of Smithville, director of College Relations; Mike Capen of Bellmawr, graphic artist; Stacey Clapp of Mays Landing, senior manager of public relations and publications; and Amanda McCullough of Brigantine, public relations and social media specialist.
The annual Atlantic Cape Restaurant Gala is the college’s largest fundraiser, raising $3 million since 1984 for student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts and Foundation operations.
