College Co-Hosts ‘Aging Out Day’ for Foster Care Youth

Atlantic Cape co-hosted a conference for the Court Appointed Special Advocates and Division of Youth and Family Services “Aging Out of Foster Care Day” March 18.

Participants heard from a panel of experts on reasons to stay in foster care, met with community organizations that provide assistance, and received information on Atlantic Cape’s programs and financial aid.

Dozens of youth aging out of the foster system in Atlantic and Cape May counties attended, as well as counselors, social workers and educators.

Dr. Peter L. Mora, president, welcomed the group, and representatives from various college programs were on hand to provide information throughout the day.
