A representative from AXA-Equitable, an authorized pension vendor in the NJ ABP and ACTS programs, will be available to answer employee questions from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday, March 23, in J-hallway on the Mays Landing Campus.
Among topics the representative will discuss, are 403(b) plans, which offer:
–No federal taxation on contributions or any earnings; taxation is deferred until amounts are withdrawn or distributed (withdrawals are taxed as ordinary income and may be subject to a 10 percent federal penalty if made prior to age 59 ½.)
–Tax-deferred growth potential;
–Tax-deferred access using loan provisions provided in the plan;
–Similar to a 401(k) plan
–If eligible, in 2015 you can contribute up to $18,000. Eligible employees may be able to contribute more using catch-up contributions.
