Atlantic Cape Community College will hold an information session for high school students eligible for free Atlantic Cape tuition under the NJ STARS and NJ STARS II scholarship programs. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, in Atlantic Cape’s Walter Edge Theater, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing.
Learn more about NJ STARS I and II with guest panelists from Atlantic Cape, Rutgers University and the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority.
Established by the state in 2004, NJ STARS—Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship—provides high school students graduating in the top 15 percent of their class with free tuition at their local community college. Students from Atlantic and Cape May counties who meet all criteria will have up to two years from the date of high school graduation to enroll and begin using the scholarship at Atlantic Cape.
Students must first apply for all need-based federal and merit-based state financial aid grants. After that, NJ STARS will cover the remaining balance of tuition. Students can save more than $50,000 in tuition and fees at a four-year college or university by spending their first two years at Atlantic Cape.
