Dive in! Tickets are now on sale for South Jersey’s premier fundraising event. The Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala’s 32nd annual dining extravaganza is planned for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 26, at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino. With the theme “Under the Sea,” the 2015 Gala will feature coastal décor and a decadent feast. In addition, Chester’s Plants, Flowers and Garden Center in Atlantic City will provide the eye-catching floral arrangements and centerpieces to compliment the theme and decor.
The annual event celebrates food with hors d’oeuvres prepared by students at the Academy of Culinary Arts and the house specialties of 40 of the area’s best restaurants at a progressive dining experience. A dessert extravaganza, co-organized by Chef Deborah Pellegrino of Caesars Entertainment and Chef Michael D’Angelo of the Academy of Culinary Arts, will complete the evening’s festivities, including tiered cakes, chocolate stations and petit fours, to name a few. Bailey Viola of Just Be. Studio in Egg Harbor Township will add her expertise in design and event planning to the dessert presentation.
Each year hundreds of guests attend the Gala, which also features several genres of live music, including Don’t Call Me Francis, The FM Band and Lenny Mitchell.
The event has raised $3 million for scholarships since 1984. All Gala proceeds benefit student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College and Atlantic Cape Foundation operations.
Tickets are $225 each. For more information, contact Alicia McMackin at (609) 343-4989, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.atlantic.edu/gala.
