Here’s the Scoop — January 2015

Mexico 022Ever in search of new material to enlighten our students, adjunct instructors Afton Koontz and Neil F. Brandt visited Mexico to learn about the ancient Mayans. Afton will enlighten her students with Mayan mythology, Mayan calendars and math. Neil will incorporate the Mayan creation myth into his religion class and Mayan philosophy into his philosophy class. Both instructors will return to Atlantic Cape renewed for the spring term.

MLKTammy DeFranco, director of CMCC student services and campus management, recognized Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by creating an interactive display board located on the first floor. Students wrote a random act of kindness on a heart and then took a small heart with a random act of kindness written on it. Thank you to Alissa Robertson, new part-time employee at CMCC’s front desk, for her creative talents and hard work in organizing this display.
