The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College offers amateur chefs and food enthusiasts opportunities to learn a variety of culinary and baking workshops this spring at the Mays Landing Campus, and the new Caesars Entertainment Wing at the Worthington Atlantic City Campus.
Mays Landing Workshops
Learn the basics of what makes a good knife, what knife should be used for what purpose, how to sharpen and care for knives in Basic Knife Skills, 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27. Cost is $85.
As a follow-up to Cake Decorating 101, Cake Decorating 102 will teach participants how to decorate cakes with novelty figures with different piping techniques, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28. Cost is $75.
Learn how to prepare Chocolate Lava Cakes, Chocolate Cherry Obsessions and Chocolate Mousse Crepes in Decadent Chocolate Desserts, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11. Cost is $75.
Italian Delights, a hands-on class, will explore desserts including Ricotta Rice/Wheat Pie, Panettone Bread Pudding with Orange Sauce, and Espresso Panna Cotta, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25. Cost is $75.
St. Patty’s Desserts will explore Irish Soda Bread, Irish Potatoes and Chocolate Guinness Cake, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, March 11. Cost is $75.
Participants will learn to prepare a variety of fruit-based desserts in Fruit Sensations, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 15. Cost is $75.

Atlantic City Workshops
Participants will learn the secrets of setting a beautiful table to celebrate any holiday – everything from napkin folding to flowers and place cards in Holiday Table Settings and Napkin
Folding, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4. Cost is $55.
How to Throw a Tea Party will teach participants the ins and outs of just that, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 4. Cost is $75.
Singles looking to meet other singles with a passion for food can attend Singles Meeting Singles Cooking Class, 6-9 p.m., Friday, April 3. Cost is $75.
Class-goers will learn to pair the correct wines with sweet flavors with chocolate and fruit, and bolder flavors with the perfect proteins in Wine and Food Pairings, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, May 6. Cost is $55.
