Atlantic Cape Plans Health Care Careers ‘Decision Making Conference’ Jan. 9

Are you looking to start a new career in health care, but unsure which occupation fits you best? Atlantic Cape Community College will offer a “Decision Making Conference,” from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, to provide assistance in choosing the right health care career for you.

Learn about careers as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, Certified Home Health Aide, Emergency Medical Technician, Patient Care Technician and Phlebotomist. Atlantic Cape’s instructors will share what you need to know to succeed in any of these high-demand fields.

Participants can “try on a profession” at several skills demonstrations, including using a stethoscope, checking vital signs and splinting a broken bone. Program graduates will discuss the rewards of working in health care, and area employers will review details on the job forecasts for these professions.
