If you are interested in launching a fast-paced career in the culinary industry, it is time to register for spring classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing. Classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 20. A limited number of $1,500 scholarships are available for new students.
The Academy offers two-year degree programs in culinary arts, baking and pastry, and food service management, and short-term specialization programs in hot foods, baking and pastry, food service management and catering. Full-time classes meet five hours a day, Monday through Friday, in morning and afternoon sessions.
ACA students have many opportunities to gain hands-on experience throughout the year at activities including the Restaurant Gala, Iron Student Chef Competition, American Culinary Federation’s Junior Chefs Competition, food shows and more.
The ACA has been training future chefs for more than 30 years, and is accredited by the American Culinary Federation. ACA alumni have launched careers around the world and provide a network of job opportunities. Each year, the ACA receives more employer requests for graduates than there are grads to fill jobs.
