Josiah L. Stewart, a student at Shaner Elementary School in Mays Landing, earned the honor of “Student of the Month” in November. His parents, Angela Stewart, accounting and finance, and Eric Stewart of student advisement are elated and so very proud of their son’s accomplishment.
ACA student Dorothy Burkett of Hammonton and ACA Chef Educator Annmarie Chelius of Ocean City presented, “Boot Camp For Your Brain,” at the “Girlz Rule” event, hosted by the Cape May County Soroptimist, Nov. 15. The presentation focused on healthy things to make your brain happy, and featured a Pumpkin Pie Parfait made from yogurt.
Rewrites, the college’s award-winning literary magazine, is accepting submissions for the 2015 issue. Rewrites considers short fiction/drama, poetry, photography, scanned artwork and computer art from members of the college community (current students, faculty, staff and alumni). This year participants are encouraged to submit their work via the online submission management system at https://rewrites.submittable.com/submit. Submissions will still be accepted by email. A representative will sell the 2015 Entertainment Guide from 10 a.m.-
3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the cafeteria at the Mays Landing Campus. There are many new additions to the book for 2015…don’t miss out. The book is good for 14 months and will cost $20 each.
