ESL Department Presenters at Penn TESOL Fall Conference

The ESL Department represented Atlantic Cape at the Penn TESOL Fall Conference at Arcadia University Nov. 8. Penn TESOL is a professional, nonprofit association dedicated to the improvement and advancement of teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Dr. Mitchell Levy, Judith Otterburn-Martinez, and Sue DePhilippis presented a workshop titled, “Career Ignorance Isn’t Bliss: Joining Forces with Student Services Staff.”  Shirley Shields and Gwen McIntyre offered a workshop called, “Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words?,” describing how to use Glogster in the ESL classroom. Both workshops were well attended and members of the department had a great opportunity to attend various workshops and collaborate with peers in the field of English language learning.

Cross Cultural Club Coat Drive

winterThe Cross Cultural Student Association is sponsoring a gently used coat collection at the Atlantic City Campus through Dec. 16.  Bring in gently used coats, any size, and drop them in the second floor lobby box near the student lounge. This coat drive benefits the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Your support is appreciated.

Happy Thanksgiving!
