“Frozen Latitudes” is Therése Halscheid’s fifth poetry collection.

Atlantic Cape senior adjunct instructor, Therése Halscheid just published her fifth poetry collection, “Frozen Latitudes.” Therése has taught writing courses for Atlantic Cape Community College for several years through the English Department. In her new collection, she melds two journeys where lives are at the very edge of survival. One is the literal location of Alaska, where she lived with an Inupiaq Eskimo tribe. The second location is the place and time where her father’s life was frozen during heart surgery, when he suffered brain damage. A book launch will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 30, at Barnes & Noble, Town Place Garden State Park, 911 Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill.
