The Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation Board of Trustees elected new officers when it met in June and welcomed Paul Straub of Mays Landing to the board.
Straub is director of accounting operations for South Jersey Energy Solutions. He also serves as the treasurer and secretary for several SJES subsidiaries. He joined South Jersey Gas in 1984 as an accountant and has worked in various positions at SJG and SJI for more than 30 years. He is a member of the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Utilities Association. Straub is a graduate of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
The new Foundation Board officers are: Nicholas Cashan III of Hammonton, president; Dr. Sandra Harmon-Weiss of Cape May Court House, first vice president; Kenneth Calemmo of Ventnor, second vice president; Vicki T. Clark of Cape May, third vice president; Stephen R. Nehmad Esq. of Egg Harbor Township, secretary; and Dennis L. Stacy, CFP, of Northfield, treasurer.
The Foundation also thanked several longtime members who were leaving the board, including: Matthew Buesing of Cape May Court House, Diane. T. McKoy of Mays Landing, Will Morey of Wildwood Crest, Robert E. Mullock of Cape May Point and Timothy Rundall of Marmora.
Atlantic Cape established the Foundation in 1978 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity to build a broad base of financial support for its programs and services. Foundation members are drawn from local industry and small businesses and represent a broad cross-section of active leaders in the community. The Foundation has raised more than $5 million in its history for scholarships, Foundation operations and to enhance academic programs and the campus environment. Annually, the Foundation provides more than $250,000 for institutional scholarships, grants and emergency help and to support college educational endeavors.
