Atlantic Cape’s Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) allows students who place into the developmental ENGL080 Reading/Writing II the opportunity to take the college-level ENGL101 Composition I course paired with ENGL099 Accelerated Learning Program Support (formerly ALPS099). Similar projects of English acceleration are happening around the country, many of them evolving from the Community College of Baltimore (CCBC) model, as Atlantic Cape’s did.
Join the faculty from 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, in H-116 on the Mays Landing Campus to learn more about the history and progress of ALP. Jamey Gallagher, co-director of CCBC’s program, will present an overview of their program, including its history, model and results, followed by Atlantic Cape ALP faculty who will provide a similar overview of our program.
Faculty and staff from all departments are welcome. Reserve your seat with Stephanie Natale-Boianelli at firstname.lastname@example.org.
